Confused where to start self-care?

Start
Confused where to start?
The starting point toward greater self-care is with yourself. Start by asking yourself two powerful questions to uncover what you can do and what you can stop to move the needle in a positive direction in terms of your own care.
How can you take better care of yourself? What routines and rituals can you add to improve your well-being?

More importantly, what can you stop to create a space for rest and relaxation in your life?
Whatever you have in mind, write it down and put it into practice. Note that by looking after yourself, you can contribute even more to the people around you when it really matters. Notice how by becoming what some people consider to be "self-indulgent", you can serve more than you can imagine.

Shavat

I will close with a personal example of how important self-care is to my family.
This is so important that I radically change my life (new career, sell my house, sell my car, change the city and country where I live, EVERYTHING changes completely) to ensure that my lifestyle is conducive to creating an environment with space and Adequate time for self-care
To underscore this, my wife, once, got a tattoo on her right arm, to remind herself of the power of self-care, in a world that is always screaming "go-go-go."

His tattoo is an abbreviation of "Sabbath" or "shavat" which brings the powerful meaning of "rest" and "stop working". A good reminder Once we get married, I can see this reminder every day. It signals to me that I can only help others when I first take care of myself.

The Antidote

The antidote to this horror story is to take care of yourself first and before taking care of your company, your boss, and your co-workers. Yes, I would even say that you have to take care of yourself before taking care of your family.
We heard this message about airlines:
"In case of an emergency, wear your oxygen mask first, then help the people around you."
Not a bad idea.

If you are a boss, you should encourage your team to take care of their own needs other than the needs of the company. Who will perform better and more fun to work with: team members who run ragged by working hard or people who are rested, refreshed and ready to go? As a boss, how can you give the team permission to take care of themselves?
The answer is clear and not difficult to implement, although it takes courage to apply conventional wisdom given the number of pride people (and teams and companies) working hard. If you are a middle manager in a big business, it can be difficult not to follow the party line. It's still worth doing.
Stories of billionaire founders such as Elon Musk (week work week 100) and Jack Dorsey (80+ workweek hours) do seemingly impossible through 1-2 strokes of sense and a deep work ethic does not help. It captures the myth that self-employment is ridiculous is a good thing (Note: I'm not saying that Elon or Jack works silly, I say that this is the most observed conclusion from what is reported about how they work).
